Charity shops are ace!

September 6th, 2006

I have recently discovered the brilliance of the above. You can buy stuff really cheaply AND feel like you’re doing a good deed giving money to oxfam and others.

My latest purchases have been 2 books (£3 in total), a top, and a bag.

I’m now weighing up in my mind whether its more cool than getting free stuff in magazines (which as you might know is a favourite pastime of mine)

“Wake me up when September ends”

September 1st, 2006

Sorry its been a while since I’ve posted (and having such a random title but it was the first thing that popped into my head), I’ve been having a life! Haha. I had a fun packed half-week in Edinburgh with some friends enjoying the Fringe - saw stand-up comedians, concerts (including Priorite a Gauche), silent films and some really funny plays. I then spent a week in Tenerife with Chris on our first holiday together. Was lovely. Now that I’m back in rainy England I’m really looking forward to going back to Notts to see all my friends, though not so excited about the prospect of 3rd year!

Blast from the past

August 3rd, 2006

Its so great when you arrange to meet up with a friend who you havn’t seen since school and you still get on like a house on fire - I thought I’d just meet up with Katie (Holmes but not THE K.H) for a quick coffee in the afternoon, but we went shopping, went out for a lovely meal then back to mine for wine and fruit chilling in my garden - so lovely. Also bought the most beautiful jacket from monsoon. Original price £110, cut down to £33……..I know! So I’m a lil happy :D

I like being given Champagne

August 1st, 2006

The last couple of weeks I’ve been working at my mums surgery. Today celebrated a year that the GPs surgery’s new building has been opened. As a result, we all got given a bottle of champagne and a cute card! I now have 2 bottles of champagne to guzzle my way through at some point so if anyone wants to buy me cheese and crackers to go with them they are most welcome!

Turkish delight

July 23rd, 2006

Back from Turkey. It was a lovely week of sun, giggling with my sister over rather odd things, reading books, general slobbiness and the occasional sightseeing business. Annoyingly, I still havn’t learnt the Turkish for hello but no doubt I’ll live :D I managed to not run away with any Turkish waitors, despite their best efforts I might add. I’m also fatter and browner, so it’s all good.

Hello world!

July 14th, 2006

Wow, my own webpage - this IS exciting. Another tool to procrastinate is always useful as I have 2 months of holiday ahead of me - woooohooo! As I only broke up from uni last week I’m so loving the slobbing and the occasional partying. Am off to Turkey this evening for a week in the sun with my sister, in which time I’m hoping to eat lots of food and return very happy and brown (even browner than my surname suggests).
